2019年8月14日示威當中，警方在晚上約 10 時開始在深水埗清場，多次發射催淚彈，即使街道幾無示威者聚集，警方也不斷發射，更射向有街坊途經、商店仍未關門的橫街。有讀者提供片段，顯示有催淚彈射進了位於福榮街桂林街交界的一家食肆。
