She had strongly questioned prosecuted protesters with clear indication of political bias in court, sentencing peaceful protesters to disproportionate penalties, sentencing long periods of imprisonment in cases where evidence merely demonstrated that the defendant had been carrying daily utilities items (“高院法官：原審裁判官主動盤問”, 2020).
身為香港司法機構下的法官，她曾經多次因自身親中之政治立場，打破獨立立場而親自審問被告，又向和平示威者、甚或路過示威現場的市民施加長期、不合理之刑罰，受害者包括多名身上僅攜帶日常用品，如索帶等的青年人。
