楊運球係香港警察嘅一份子。 佢曾經參與係2019-10-01黃大仙紀律部隊宿舍外鎮壓示威者嘅行動，並係2020年5月到法庭為香港政府（控方）提供證據，試圖指控一名20歲青年犯暴動罪，指佢有份係現場投擲雜物，並聲稱佢無襲擊被告嘅頭部，但最終嗰名青年成功脫罪。楊運球嘅證供俾法官認定為不可信，詳見明報報道。

黑警濫權實錄07051：肆意施暴
防暴警察在自身安全明顯未有威脅的情況下，走上建築物高空處向示威者開槍，五分鐘內發射多發橡膠子彈或布袋彈。這涉嫌違反《公安條例》第17條中，表明警務人員在阻止公眾聚集舉行，或停止或解散公眾聚集時，只可以使用「合理所需的武力」。而過份武力對待被拘捕人士，在沒有合理辨解下，亦可能違反《侵害人身罪條例》各條。
