譚錦明係香港警察嘅一份子。根據識佢嘅人指出，佢中學嗰陣留咗次級，曾遭受校園欺凌。2014年雨傘革命期間支持示威者，之後為加入警察隱藏個人歷史。加入警隊後，佢係無申報下做無牌救生員賺錢，係屋苑會所認識一名女警後令佢懷孕，因而被迫婚，個女啱啱出世幾個月。佢又曾經對外話自己巡邏認識到一個女空中服務員，其後被揭發佢只係喺會所工作。
