楊運球係香港警察嘅一份子。 佢曾經參與係2019-10-01黃大仙紀律部隊宿舍外鎮壓示威者嘅行動，並係2020年5月到法庭為香港政府（控方）提供證據，試圖指控一名20歲青年犯暴動罪，指佢有份係現場投擲雜物，並聲稱佢無襲擊被告嘅頭部，但最終嗰名青年成功脫罪。楊運球嘅證供俾法官認定為不可信，詳見明報報道。
